Family Feud
by Gary Yoder
There are those moments
measured in illness
when soul and body
are seeming strangers
She would disown
the skin and bone
kin and home
the tissue
overgrown
She stands
aside
a hesitating friend
and wrings her hands
Gary enjoys parenting, word-play, music composition, photography, painting, patristics, dispatching pumpkin pie, and plenty other reputable pastimes.
