I Am the Wind
by Chloe Stewart
I am the air; I am the sky;
I am the timid, and the bold;
I am the what; I am the why;
I am the new-made, and the old.
I am the host you do not see—
I am a whisper through the trees.
I am a fearful enemy;
I am the friend that no one sees.
I am a movement here to there;
I am a force unhesitating;
I am the when; I am the where;
I am the future that is waiting.
I am the answer that is true;
I am the one who questions you.
Over, under, out, and through,
I am the wind.

This is a beautifully spacious poem full of movement, wonder and awareness of the unseen spirit of the wind. Its gentle depth invites us to linger a bit longer in appreciation.
I love this poem.
It reminds me of an allegory my friend wrote of her testimony that depicts the Holy Spirit as the Wind in her walk with the Lord.
