Love That Will Not Let Me Go
by Rebecca Weber
Does Love come back across the maze
Of city streets in sunset haze?
Or does it stop to count each mile,
Consider turning back awhile,
Content to leave my heart a daze?
What certain signs would guide my ways,
What alleys lit by living rays,
What hope for homes to reconcile—
If Love comes back.
Through crowded streets and everydays,
He comes again! O let me praise
The God whose coming knows no guile.
Lo, Love returns with eager smile
To fight through barricade and blaze
For Love comes back.

“What hope for homes to reconcile—
If Love comes back.”
