Description
Meet the Leaf, a journal dedicated to poetry and art by contemporary Anabaptists and likeminded artists. Here you will find poems of trouble and of hope, restful poems and poems of fire, prayers, and praises, each and beautiful in season.
The 2019 Leaf includes material from the Curator’s weekly poetry emails, as well as many new poems. This issue features poetry by poets such as Tamar Zehr, Sheila Petre, and Kenneth Godoy. Also included are several beautiful artworks by Margie Yoder and other artists.
Language and art are divine gifts, speaking from the past and renewing the present. We learn through the praises of psalms, the lamentations of prophets, and the ordinary experiences of particular lives. In the Leaf, we share with you our forays into language and meaning, and we hope to encourage a culture that recognizes quality and strives to create things of value.
